Ray Ban Junior Glasses

Ray Ban Junior glasses are the fashionable range of ophthalmic eyewear for children from the world’s number one selling glasses brand.

Ray Ban have been around for a number of years. Their inception was in 1937, when established and leading German eyewear manufacturers, Bausch & Lomb, were approached by Lieutenant John Macready. Lt. Mcready was in the US Air Force, and wanted glasses that protected his eyes from the sun as he would be flying in its path for long periods of time. He also wanted the glasses to look stylish, in keeping with the elegant military style of the time. From this, the first aviator sunglasses were born. The success of these brought about the Ray-Ban company (named so because the lenses were so good at protecting against the sun’s rays – banning Rays).

Today, Ray Ban is the world number one eyewear company. They sell more sunglasses and prescription glasses than any other company, with their popularity attributed to the fact they produce high quality, long lasting goods that are designed well and have an inherent cool factor. Now Ray Ban are bringing this legacy to children, so they, too, can feel stylish and comfortable wearing prescription glasses.

Often children will feel embarrassed wearing their glasses, but the cool factor of Ray Ban combined with the fact they are worn by many famous celebrities ensures against that. The quality of Ray Ban junior glasses is also another great factor, meaning kids can take a tumble or have an accident and the glasses should remain safe.

There are extra factors to consider when buying glasses for children. Comfort should be of utmost importance, so the child is not constantly removing their much needed glasses. Also, glass lenses should not be used as these may pose a danger to children’s eyes if broken; plastic lenses are much stronger and safer. Children’s nose bridges are not as developed so glasses will need to have a secure bridge, ideally with adjustable nose pads, as well as arms that stretch further behind the ears for added stability.

The great thing about Ray Ban junior glasses is that they are available in a multitude of colours for children to choose from. So whether they want something bright and fun, or a darker colour to feel more grown up, there is something for every child. The shapes are varied, and are available in either metal or plastic meaning there will always be something to suit your child’s individual face.
