While Ford was at Gucci, sales increased from $230million before his inception, to $3billion by the time he departed, showing the real talent he had for design.
In 2005, Ford announced the creation of his own TOM FORD brand, a label unlike any other that went down a storm in the fashion world. The same year, he announced his partnership with eyewear producers the Marcolin Group, to produce designer prescription glasses and sunglasses. The eyewear collection has been hugely successful and ranks in the top 3 brands in the world.
