Dior Sunglasses

Christian Dior Glasses

History Of The Brand
The French designer had a passion was for fashion and the arts. His parents wanted him to be a diplomat but Dior had other plans. He wanted to preserve the French fashion industry for economic and artistic reasons. During the World War II, Dior dressed for military wives and other government spouses.

Some would say that Dior revolutionized the way women dressed post-war. He started his haute couture empire, House of Dior in the mid 1940s which was responsible for creating beautiful flowing garments that enhanced a woman’s figure rather than hide it. His style brought about sultry vixens such as Marilyn Monroe who flaunted their beautifully curvaceous bodies. This fashion reform became historically known as the ‘new look’.

Sunglasses Collection
Dior's sunglasses collection reflects the brand's identity of elegance and glamour, with a twist on modern and classic shapes and designs. There are as many sunglasses for males as there is for females. This is great as it means there is more choice for men who are unsure of which frame they like the look of. As most of the brand’s sunglasses are made from acetate, there is a great variety of colours to choose from.

Dior is well known for their bright and romantic colours as well as their traditional colours. The male’s Black Tie collection consists of the sunglasses created with modernity in mind. The graphic squared frame shape and double bridge detail brings this collection are great characteristics for men’s sunglasses. The rectangle frame shape still remains as the most popular frame shape choice.
