The Brand
The fashion designer/film maker/beauty mogul is always extremely confident and well dressed. Ford first started off his fashion career working with Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent. He delivered super sexy, almost-explicit campaigns that both shocked and thrilled the public.
Later, he and a colleague left Gucci to start up his own self-titled brand. Ford slightly toned down the sexuality in his first collection campaigns, but it was still enough to get us a bit hot under the collar. When he designed his second collection; the campaign adverts were more toned down and focused on sensuality instead of sexuality.
The Eyewear
Tom Ford sunglasses are modern and super stylish; perfect for the modern men and women of the world. Appealing to an international market, the brand doesn’t limit its designs to specific consumers. All of the Tom Ford sunglasses have been designed to complement the wearer and their personality. He even gave his sunglasses special names so people can relate to the eyewear.
Ford designs his sunglasses to fit his consumers; planning and taking into account about every aspect of the eyewear from materials, to colours, to frame shape. Brown, gold, caramel and bronze are colours that rule the sunglasses collection. Ford wanted to create sunglasses that look great in the sunlight and also complemented a range of skin tones. Other colours such as black, silver and grey are also popular in the collection.
You will also find a great range of frame shapes from vintage cat-eye and aviators to oversized round frames. Most of the frames in the collection are plastic but there’s also a good amount of metal frames to choose from.
