Jimmy Choo are a brand associated with luxury, elegance and style.
The name Jimmy Choo instantly conjures up images of designer shoes adorning the feet of some of the worlds most stylish celebrities. The company is the eponymous label of British-Malaysian footwear designer, Jimmy Choo, who trained in Hackney at the Cordwainers Technical College. He made his first shoe at the age of 11, and became a huge hit when he first started operating his business in East London.
Accessories editor of British Vogue, Tamara Mellon, decided the market needed shoes that were both completely stylish and comfortable to wear. She discovered Jimmy Choo working from his small warehouse in East London after his reputation for quality preceded him. They joined together to create the Jimmy Choo brand, focusing on luxury footwear for women that required comfort and high fashion. Soon celebrities were wearing the shoes on the red carpet and the company became world famous. Every woman wanted a pair of "Choo's"
In the early 2000s, the company expanded into making accessories such as bags and scarves, and thereby opened itself up to a wider audience. Recently, Italian luxury eyewear manufacturers, Marcolin Group, bought the license to create and distribute glasses under the Jimmy Choo name. What has come of that is a range unlike any other, designed with perfect craftsmanship reminiscent of the original shoe line, and fabulous detailing setting the glasses apart as a real luxury product.
The glasses are all designed with elegance and femininity in mind (with almost the entire range created just for women). The work put into every piece ensures the utmost quality in production and the glasses are sure to last for a very long time. The small details are what set the frames apart, with embellishments such a small crystals and patterns in the acetate making these glasses stand out above competitors.
