Fashion Week is well underway. Currently at the last stop in Paris after starting in New York, London then Milan. We have seen the most luxurious designs and accessories grace the runways around the world keeping an eye out for the latest eyewear collections we will be buying for 2020. Themes for 2020 fashions from Spring Summer to Autumn Winter are neutral colour palettes combined with pastel colourways and tailored silhouettes. For eyewear styling 2020 is an exciting year, new innovative shapes and bold colourways have been noted. We can’t wait to buy these styles for our new collection:
Kicking off London Fashion Week in style – Burberry. The Catwalk was filled with the iconic Burberry highland check pattern in a tonal beige, as well as pops of colour in blue and green tailoring throughout. Their eyewear collection this year differs from their usual shapes. More innovative wrap-around styles were spotted as well as shields in orange and beige tints.
Similarly to Burberry, beige tones were popular on the SS20 Ready-To-Wear runway. This collection saw puff sleeves, tailoring, asymmetric lines, fur bags and shield mirrored frames again in an orange tone. It looks like tonal colours and shield glasses are in for Spring Summer 2020.
’70s gothic meets 2020 modernity – this theme sums up the new Gucci Ready-To-Wear collection. An eclectic array of unamused models crying black mascara tears; wore frills, tailoring, the iconic Gucci print, high neck collars, cross jewellery and innovative quirky eyewear; from rounded metal frames to upside-down cat-eyes. We can’t wait to get our hands on this collection.
The Pre-Fall 2020 show from Balenciaga saw oversized slouchy fitting combined with puffa jackets, totes and colourful styling. Similar to the recent collection, the Balenciaga frames are bold shapes in black colourways including the lense creating a mysterious aesthetic.
The famous French Fashion House released their Fall 2020 Ready-To-Wear Collection with the best supermodels of the time. Fitted in paisley, beiges, purples and knit, Chloe’s models look perfectly stylish for 2020. Accessories include gold beaded jewellery and See by Chloe purple sunglasses. These new frames should soon be into Fashion Eyewear so you can wear the catwalk look.
Our bestselling frames the Dior Stellaire and Dior Stellaire 01 have graced the catwalks in Paris. The oversized 70’s styling has been a hit for 2019 leading into 2020 inspiring other fashion brands along the way.
The Hugo Boss collection went from one beige extreme to the another in monochromatic purple styling. This exciting show featured the new eyewear collection which Orlando Bloom is now the face of. The aviator in yellow tints to rounded frames graced the runway with the most famous names in fashion and showbiz, not only on the runway but in the audience watching the show; all wearing the latest Hugo Boss collection.
Keep an eye out – these frames will soon be able to shop at Fashion Eyewear. However, in the meantime shop our bestselling staples which will never go out of fashion.
