Christian Dior, the founder of the couture House of Dior always created designs that were ultra feminine, luxurious, glamorous and timelessly elegant. This is no different for the brand's latest sunglasses collection.

This post is all about the Dior Flanelle 3 which is currently one of the latest sunglass models to be released this year. There is something really special about this unique collection. The design of the eyewear including the premium acetate the frames are made out of were exclusively developed by the Maison (House) of Dior. The frame's patterns were to resemble the textures seen on the ready-to-wear clothing collections.

Tweed-patterned acetate can be found on four different models of the Flanelle 3. Alongside the innovative tweed design, a special plissé technique is also applied to the design. This technique creates a creased, woven look in the fabric, or in this case, the acetate material. Dior is famous for their over-sized style however these sunglasses are slightly less large compared to other models in the collection. The Flanelle 3 has a smaller rectangle shape for a more classic look.

The bold eyewear design is more than enough to make these frames stand out. The House of Dior also created the colour palettes for this collection. The red and orange frame colours are modern and more autumnal compared to the black, blue and havana brown frame colours.
