Beyond the hills of West Hollywood where palm trees line the streets, where you’ll find the world’s rich and famous shopping along the infamous Rodeo Drive and a place where all that glitters is most likely no less than 3.2 karat gold, the brand amoung one of the most frequently found on the silver screen and between the pages of some our most coveted high end fashion magazines- such as Vogue and Bazaar- Oliver Peoples was founded.
Now, nearly 30 years later the brand synonymous with Californian prestige has released their latest collection simply and most elegantly titled “Resort”.
Seven new distinct and fabulously contemporary styles are available in the Oliver Peoples 2015 Resort Collection including: the Scheyer– an oversized, unisex optical frame that takes influence from Wallstreet bankers of the 1980s, Shaelie– a chic, half-rim frame designed with Aluminum, Brinley– a glamorous horn coloured frame explicitly created with “bold style for the chic woman”, Strathmore– an unmistakably masculine style which boasts a cool sophistication and distinct geometric design, Jardinette– a 1960s inspired, thin frame with the iconic dual flush pin markings of an Oliver Peoples design on the temples, Jaide- a sexy,1960s inspired cat-eye frame made with the best materials and one the most alluring shapes, and finally Soriano– a “classic and sophisticated style” designed for professional and stylish men.
Beautifully shot by Renaissance woman and fashion photographer Lisa Eisner, the campaign photographs feature a sharply styled Jack Huston [Boardwalk Empire] in the idyllic setting of the renowned Boyd House in Los Angeles. Huston and an accompanying model, like the collection’s frames they are styled in, embody the lifestyle and physical and cultural aesthetic said to have inspired the collection. “The 2015 collection embodies the unique style of the city through a balanced mixture of sophistication and bohemian glamour.”
Founded 1986, Oliver Peoples continues to raise the standard for style with their extensive collection of sunglasses and glasses in a class all their own. It is little wonder why Oliver Peoples is one of the most sought after eyewear brands whose celebrity following includes Robert Pattinson, Zooey Deschanel and Kirsten Dunst.
