Designer Eyewear

More and more people are buying designer frames not only for their ability to protect the eyes, but also for their aesthetic appeal. The desirability for designer eyewear is due to its quality and exclusivity. Every collection is designed from scratch by a team of talented designers, each pair is individually hand-crafted by expert craftsmen. This, is the difference that sets apart luxury eyewear and mass-produced high street eyewear.

Choosing A Frame

When choosing your optical frame, keep in mind the basics. Know what frame-style suits your face shape and pick a colour that shows off your personality, or compliments what you wear. Whether you have PLANO prescription or a higher prescription, designer frames are a fashionable way to express yourself.

Lens Choices

There is a wide variety of lenses for single-vision, bifocal/varifocal correction as well as those who use their spectacles for watching television or reading.
All lenses offer 100% UV protection and there are 4 different lens indexes for plastic lenses; 1.5, 1.6, 1.67, and 1.74. These are the top four lens choices on the market catering to all prescription ranges.

Lens Tints

Are your eyes slightly photo-sensitive? Do you find that you squint excessively when things around you seem too bright? If so, you may want to consider applying Photochromic tints to your lenses. Photochromic tints have are light-reactive so they will darken your lenses when they’re overexposed to light, and lighten to normal when there is less exposure to light. You can choose from a brown or grey Photochromic tints.

Don’t Forget To Add Lens Coatings

Never leave your lenses uncoated as this will damage your lenses. Even with basic scratch-resistant coatings, you’ll only receive the minimum protection against surface scratches. If possible, splash out a bit more on lens coatings; go for the advanced or premium coatings instead. Advanced coatings will protect your eyes from glare and your lenses from scratches and abrasions.
Premium coatings cover everything advanced coatings offer plus it repels dirt and smudges. Elite coatings offer the highest level of protection in all the areas covered by advanced and premium coatings.
